Sometimes as a have-a-go folklorist you have to take one for the team. And this week, I have done. Three times, in fact. First with a lemon, second with an onion and third with a swede. It was painful, but ultimately very satisfying. With just two weeks to go (two weeks today!) before publication and a radio interview with Talk Radio Europe around 2pm tomorrow, I thought I should try and get my coughing under control…
Yeah, you’re right. It could have done with a car chase. Remedies 2 & 3 to follow but in the meantime, for more weird and wonderful folklore things to try out, pre-order Household Lore and then if you fill out this form: https://form.typeform.com/to/OoGFZWGu you’ll also receive an exclusive bonus short story by me and a signed bookplate (while stocks last)! I’d avoid trying out the grave robbing though.
Next remedy: onion liquor…
