While I may have been a little silent of late, I have not not been using my voice. So much so, I am pretty much mainlining honey studded with cloves at the moment. There was the Mind Body Spirit festival a couple of weeks ago, where I attempted to bring a bit of wit to the folklore of sex, menopause and brain fog. Before that, Waterstones in Worthing played host to a slightly chaotic evening of divination and Beltane folklore (my audience participation participants were outstanding). And before that, were the delightful women of the Peckham WI where I spoke about folklore in general. Then there were the recordings of the White Witch podcast and The Happy Garden Podcast, both of which were immense fun. And I’ve also been on hand to answer any folklore questions that stump various BBC radio stations.
But now I have three more events coming up in case you fancy listening to my continuing descent into a Mariella Frostrup tribute act (and a bit of folklore too).
First up is an Open Evening at Damage Hair Salon, 2 Trafalgar Street, Brighton on 13 June 2026, starting at 5.30pm, where I’ll be talking about solstice and midsummer folklore. The blurb reads:

Next up, at 2pm on 15 July 2026, I shall be hoofing it over to Rustington Museum, where, if you’ve clocked the date, I shall be talking about weatherlore amongst other things. The blurb for this says:
