18 April 2025 – Good Friday 6: This Time It’s Personal

It’s still there. Mouldy, covered in cobwebs (note: cobwebs are very good for all sorts of things – check out the basement chapter in my new book for more info) and still nestling in between my plastic potatoes. I forgot to post last year, but remembered this afternoon that my hot cross bun from The Everyday Lore Project is still hanging up in my kitchen. Was too scared of the spiders (and the penicillin) to flip it round, so you’ll just have to imagine how ravaged the front is. As long as I don’t destroy it when I paint the kitchen, it’ll be same time same place next Good Friday…

Happy Easter!

My Soul Cake from November made the move safely to our new house and is hanging on the dresser, ready for replacement this year.
